Skip the cookie-cutter approach. Work with a startup-specialised solicitor who offers bespoke services that help you overcome hurdles, and achieve your ultimate goal.
1. What classes as a startup business?
A startup business can be formed from the moment you have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or even a scaled-up small business with 40 employees. You can build a startup in any industry, with any product or service offering.
The term “startup” generally refers to businesses less than 5 years old with a turnover of below £10 million. Startups are often characterised by their innovative approach, rapid growth potential, and scalability.
A startup can take many different forms, and our solicitors can help you regardless of what stage you’re at. Whether you’re just starting with an idea or looking to expand your existing business, we provide the legal support you need to succeed.
2. How can a solicitor help a startup business?
Solicitors can offer you invaluable guidance and legal services to help you at all phases of your startup.
As legal professionals with expert industry knowledge, we can ensure you hit all the right bases, effectively negotiate, and protect your business interests.
We take a flexible approach, tailoring our offering to suit your needs. Whether you know exactly what you want, or you’re unsure of what you might need, we can help you.

If you don’t see a service listed, don’t worry. Just give us a call on 0203 007 5500 and a member of our team will gladly advise you on our full service offering.
4. How much do startup legal services cost?
The price of startup legal services entirely depends on what you need.
If you’re unsure about the services you need and would like to discuss your options, you can book a complimentary 30-minute consultation with our corporate commercial solicitors.
For a more in-depth discussion about your business, you can book a Business Health Check appointment for £420 inclusive of VAT.
If you know what services you need, you can book in directly with a corporate commercial solicitor to get the ball rolling.
You can discuss any of these services further or book in by calling 0203 007 5500.
5. Do you offer legal aid or pro bono for startups?
We are currently unable to offer legal aid in any capacity as we lack the necessary legal aid certificate. We also don’t offer pro bono work at present.
