Approach.

I believe the best legal advice comes from truly understanding what my clients want to achieve. My approach is straightforward: I listen carefully, think strategically, and always ask myself how we can reach your goals as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

I pride myself on translating complex legal situations into clear, actionable steps, ensuring you’re never left wondering what’s happening with your case or why we’re taking a particular approach.

Mitchell Potter began his academic journey studying Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Essex, where he developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and performance under pressure, skills that have proven to be invaluable in the legal field.

Motivated by a desire to help people navigate the increasingly complex legal landscape, he transitioned into law, completing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2022.

Since qualifying, Mitchell has built a diverse and dynamic practice, spanning across some of the most challenging areas of law, including immigration matters and commercial disputes in the shipping industry.

Known for breaking down complex disputes into clear, achievable goals, he ensures clients remain informed and empowered throughout the legal process.

2025

Mitchell successfully defended a client facing serious charges of money laundering and fraud by abuse of position. When prosecutors claimed his client had made “secret profits” from workplace trades, Mitchell methodically dismantled their financial analysis, demonstrating the legitimate nature of all transactions and securing a favourable outcome.

Advised a biofuel trading company in a complex contractual dispute concerning quality and quantity discrepancies following a cargo seizure in Holland. The claim against the client was successfully struck out due to procedural failings by the claimant, preserving the client’s commercial reputation and avoiding costly litigation.

Mitchell navigated the complexities of a multi-jurisdictional fraud case involving EU anti-dumping charges, coordinating seamlessly with OLAF, clients, and legal teams across multiple countries. His expertise in international service procedures and Hague Convention compliance was instrumental in building a strong case against multiple defendants.
