Jessica’s passion for law was ignited during her A-Level studies, where she became captivated by the impact legal frameworks have on every aspect of daily life.
She pursued this interest at the University of Kent, studying from 2019 to 2022 and graduating with a 2:1 LLB degree. During her university years, Jessica actively participated in the law society and volunteered with the Kent Law Clinic, experiences that provided valuable practical insights while serving those with limited access to legal support.
Following graduation, Jessica secured a position as a Paralegal in Local Government, where she gained diverse experience across multiple legal areas including commercial contracts, nuisance claims, fraud investigations, and trespass matters. This role proved formative in shaping her understanding of both legal practice and public service.
Jessica particularly values the sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing her work directly improve people’s circumstances. Her time in local government not only enhanced her legal knowledge but also helped define the kind of legal professional she aspires to be—dedicated, thorough, and focused on making meaningful differences in clients’ lives.
Her experience has equipped her with strong client communication skills and knowledge of governmental procedures. Jessica’s aspiration is to continue expanding her expertise across various legal disciplines and ultimately qualify as a solicitor, maintaining her commitment to accessible, client-centred legal services.
