I am a dynamic advocate committed to finding bespoke, practical solutions for each client’s individual needs. I understand the value of prompt, open communication and strive to provide clear, honest advice in a friendly and accessible manner.

I recognise that dealing with a death and planning for this inevitable event is never easy. That’s why I take the time to ensure my clients feel comfortable and supported. I aim to provide a safe space where clients can speak freely, and I’m here to serve as a sounding board throughout the process. I’m driven by a genuine desire to help clients navigate these emotionally challenging times with as much ease and reassurance as possible.

Originally from Canada, Holly began her legal career in 2015 as a Legal Assistant. Her dedication and aptitude led to a promotion to Paralegal within just one year, where she embraced a more independent, client-facing role. It was during this time that Holly discovered her passion for law and made the decision to qualify as a solicitor.

Holly’s academic credentials reflect her commitment to excellence. She earned a Legal Assistant Diploma with distinction from MacEwan University in Canada before pursuing her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the University of Sussex. She completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction at the University of Law, Moorgate, and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales in April 2023.

During her time at Sussex, Holly demonstrated strong leadership as President of the Canadian Students’ Law Society and was actively involved in the Employment Law Clinic, where she provided free legal assistance to underprivileged individuals in the Brighton area.

2022

Assisted a Canadian executor with obtaining a re-sealed Grant of Probate in the UK, enabling them to wind up the English affairs of a foreign estate.

Successfully obtained a property and financial affairs deputyship order from the Court of Protection, allowing the client to sell his mother’s home and fund her care home fees.

2023

Attended hospital to take instructions and execute a deathbed Will within 24 hours for a client with terminal cancer.

Completed the administration of a high-net-worth estate featuring a diverse savings and investment portfolio, including the sale of publicly traded shareholdings and management of assets in France, all within 12 months.

2024

Assisted the children of a local businessman in administering their late father’s multi-million-pound estate. The case involved significant lifetime gifts made within the deceased’s final seven years, requiring complex taper relief calculations for inheritance tax purposes. Holly was able to achieve substantial savings against the overall inheritance tax liability by successfully applying the regular gifts out of surplus income exemption.

Conducted at-home visits for a client with no mobility to take instructions and execute their Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
