Rami’s interest in legal frameworks developed during his degree, where he was introduced to international business law and its influence on the financial world. This led him to join Clifford Chance as a Sustainable Finance Summer Intern during his penultimate year, providing him with valuable insight into the operations of a global law firm.
Throughout his professional journey, Rami observed how law intertwines with virtually every field of professional work. Working at Britton & Time Solicitors has reinforced this understanding while allowing him to directly engage with clients and establish relationships built on trust and empathy—qualities he considers essential for effective legal service.
Ramy graduated with a first-class degree in Economics with Management before beginning his professional career at a financial office in Liverpool Street. There, he managed project administration and leads, while also conducting financial risk research on sanctioned assets.
His career path then took him to a London-based intelligence firm, where he contributed to diverse projects including counter-terrorism investigations and anti-money laundering operations throughout the Middle East.
Additionally, Ramy has worked as a journalist across Africa and the Middle East, reporting on significant events including general elections in Senegal, civil unrest in Lebanon, and the Syrian conflict. This experience has enhanced his ability to communicate complex situations clearly and approach sensitive matters with the appropriate tact and objectivity—skills that transfer directly to his role at Britton and Time.
