On 20 October 2026, boutique London financial crime and criminal litigation firm Rahman Ravelli appointed administrators to assist in its winding up.
Led by Aziz Rahman, Rahman Ravelli, which had offices in West Yorkshire and London, was well-known for its white collar criminal defence services, and international and cross border crime.
What happens to your matter if a firm goes into administration?
Firms who go into administration are no longer able to take instructions and act for their clients, however affected clients have the choice to appoint a new firm of their choosing, together with transferring any held funds.
If you had an ongoing case with Rahman Ravelli, you should have received a message from the administration case handlers asking what your preference is for future representation and funds.
Britton and Time are able to act on a wide range of criminal matters and if you would like to discuss transferring your matter to us, please contact us.
Will my funds be protected by Rahman Ravelli?
Upon winding up, funds held by a firm on behalf of its clients are protected, either through their transfer to a client’s newly chosen firm or through protections in place by the original firm’s insurer.
If client funds are missing, such as during the collapse of London firm Axiom Ince, the Solicitors Regulation Authority runs a compensation fund that guarantees client funds up to a certain amount.
If you have any concerns over the status of your held funds, you should contact your administration case handler.
