We’re delighted to announce that on Tuesday 13 October at 6pm, our Head of Private Client, Holly Luciow, will be joining Liz Brackley, Director of Home Instead Brighton, Hove and Shoreham to discuss practical ways of coping with dementia if you or a loved one are facing a diagnosis.
This evening is aimed at individuals who are worried about the impact of dementia, those who suspect they may have, or who have a diagnosis of dementia, family members and friends of individuals with dementia, and those working with individuals with dementia.
While there is an abundance of information online about dementia as a medical condition, the focus of this evening is about meeting others in a similar situation, discussing steps you can take now to minimise the impact of dementia on your life, and helping those around you to understand what to do in the event of a diagnosis. We will be covering topics such as:
- Practical advice on how to manage memory loss, confusion and changing needs
- Supporting a loved one’s independence and safety at home
- Common concerns of people who have or who are facing a dementia diagnosis
- Ensuring your wishes are known and respected
- The risks of leaving dementia planning to the last minute
The evening is completely free and designed to be an interactive discussion with questions and answers where you can find out more information about dementia and how to ensure your wishes are respected if you’re no longer able to manage your own affairs.
