As I’ve been lucky enough to experience what a wonderful city it truly is, I thought I’d share my thoughts. Here are six reasons why anyone contemplating a move to Australia should look at moving to Perth.

Like the other major Australian cities, employment opportunities in Perth are rife. As a whole, the state of Western Australia has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. Alongside this, its domestic economy has grown by 5.7% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is almost double the growth of the entire nation.
Recent research shows Perth has more job openings this year than ever before. Whether you’re looking for a job in IT, construction or any other sector, moving to Perth should prove to be great for budding opportunists!

Perth contains some of the country’s most impressive parks and gardens. For example, Kings Park, measuring at a size of over 400 hectares, is a beautiful spectacle to behold. And the best part? Averaging roughly 300 days of sunshine every year, Perth’s weather is ideal for those looking to make the move to somewhere picturesque. Being in the southwest of Australia, Perth’s climate is a lot warmer than the UK, whilst the southeast is similar to that of Europe.
Even when the weather might be a bit too hot, Perth has the infrastructure to deal with it. Don’t worry about sitting in a sweaty office as nearly all places are well-ventilated and fitted with air con. Despite winter being fairly unpredictable, it doesn’t last long, meaning the sun will be back on your doorstep before you even begin to miss it.
