The ACT Critical Skills List refers to occupations that are under demand within the Australian Central Territory, making them eligible for permanent migration. This article will cover the list and what jobs it includes.
What is the ACT Critical Skills List?
The ACT Critical Skills List covers all current jobs that are in demand in the Australian Capital Territory. This list is important for people that are applying for either a:
- Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190), or;
- Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491)
If you’re applying for a different visa, you can still earn points on the Canberra Matrix if you’re working in one of these chosen occupations.
When was the last update to the ACT Critical Skills List?
The last update to the skills list was on 18 April 2023. Updates occur annually, meaning that the ACT Government will respond to the needs of the job market.
