The best interests of the child must always come first, and any legal process is incredibly stressful for everyone involved. So with that in mind we always aim to get the right answer for you as quickly as possible.
We can help with issues involving adoption, surrogacy, access, contact and visitation, among many other things.
Child contact arrangement orders
If you’ve been through a break-up and cannot decide where your child/children should live, you need Britton and Time Solicitors.
We’ll help you apply for a court order, but before this can happen you must show you’ve attended a meeting about mediation first, (except in certain cases, where there’s been domestic abuse, for example). You may then have to attend a court appointment and go to a number of court hearings.
A child arrangements order decides:
- where your child lives
- when your child spends time with each parent
- when and what other types of contact take place (phone calls, for example)
Child arrangements orders replace residence orders and contact orders, so parents with any of these don’t need to re-apply.
